Robin
Manager, Organic Foods
Robin has been a member of the Conner’s work family for 18 years. She has worked as a cashier, a trainer for new staff and now as manager of our Organics department. When she’s not working, Robin is a certified master gardener, world traveler, Reiki practitioner, avid reader and super grandma.
FUN FACT: Robin is a fantastic amateur chef & baker.
Lauren
Manager, Produce Department
Over the past 14 (15 in Oct) years, Lauren has worked in almost every department. She has experience as a cashier, deli clerk, deli manager, produce clerk and now as our produce department manager. Lauren loves the beach and fishing. She enjoys coaching Little League baseball and gardening. Lauren is a huge hockey fan who is always ready to talk about the Capitals.
FUN FACT: Lauren can’t talk without using her hands.
Jenn
Manager, Grocery DEPARTMENT
13 Years, Conner’s was Jenn’s first job and we were thrilled when she returned a few years ago. Jenn has worked as a cashier, stocker, and now as Conner’s grocery manager. She is also quick to jump in and help with deli or produce when needed. Jenn manages our stocking crew and orders and coordinates with grocery wholesalers as well as independent vendors. She is active in her church, and serves on the Boards of the PTO, the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation and Outer Banks Buddies.
FUN FACT: Jenn is our trivia team master.
Olya
Manager, Gourmet Cheese & Snack
Olya has been on our team for 1 year. She comes to us from Kiev, Ukraine. Olya trained as a cashier and in our deli. She recently joined our management team. She is a full time, online college student in addition to her work at Conner’s. Olya enjoys gardening and painting.
FUN FACT: Olya is enjoying traveling and exploring the world.
Tanya
Manager, Deli DEPARTMENT
2 years ago, Tanya brought her 30 plus years of grocery experience and joined our deli team. She worked as a deli clerk before becoming manager. Following her dream to live on our beautiful island, Tanya spends free time with her husband and pups on the beach.
FUN FACT: Tanya is a huge parrot head.
Jonathan
Meat Cutter
Jonathan has worked in our meat department for 7 years. He loves to hunt duck and deer. Jonathan is active with the Dare County Republican party and is a member of the Buxton Volunteer Fire Department.
FUN FACT: Jonathan plays and collects bass guitars.
Eric
Manager, Meat DEPARTMENT
In his 23 years at Conner’s, Eric has worked as a stocker, meat cutter & now manager of the meat department. He is an avid angler, hunter and grill master. He is a Lieutenant with the Buxton Volunteer Fire Department. Eric also volunteers his time as a Little League baseball coach and a coach for the Hatteras Island Target Shooters.
FUN FACT: Eric loves to argue and is our resident agitator-in-chief.
Noah
Manager, Dairy DEPARTMENT
Noah has spent 7 years at Conner’s working as a stocker and now as the manager for our dairy department. Noah enjoys exploring the world through literature and travel. Noah is our resident expert on all things involving ancient Rome.
FUN FACT: Noah eats Cheetos with a fork.
Ian
Manager, Bakery & Frozen Foods Departments
Ian joined Conner’s 1 year ago. He has worked as a cashier, produce clerk and now as a manager for the bakery and frozen foods departments. Ian loves all kinds of gaming – online, board games, trivia nights and is a regular at community BINGO. He also enjoys professional sports and movies.
FUN FACT: Ian has a huge collection of Funko Pops.
International Students
We also host international students during the busy season. These students are on work & travel visas and spend several months working usually followed by a week or two of visiting cultural and historical sites. They are a tremendous help to us and we love learning about their lives and cultures. Over the years, our students have joined us from countries around the world, including: Albania, Great Britain, Ecuador, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Thailand, and Ukraine.
